ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE ASSISTANT TO INDEPENDENT DISTRIBUTION
With skills in digital promotion and development of national and international networks
starting from the excellence of Ravenna Film Festival - Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest

• FREE COURSE, financed by the Emilia-Romagna Region and co-funded with resources of the European Social Fund.
• Target: the course is addressed to 13 people residing in the Emilia-Romagna region.
• Duration and modality: total number of course hours is 334, of which 240 of frontal lesson and 104 of stage.
• Application deadline: by August 31st 2019. The course will start in September and will take place in Ravenna.
  

Film distributor is a key figure in the cinematographic and audiovisual industry and his professionality is crucial in relation to the diffusion and promotion of all cinema. Placing itself between production and exhibitor, film distribution will be in charge of defining communication and promotion, selecting film festivals or most interesting events as launch site, placing films in national and international circuits and movie theatres, knowing all consumption channels related to broadcasters and digital platforms.
The entire asset of the film distribution industry is undergoing through transformations determined by digital technologies, opening new ways and possibilities, and the distributor is the key figure that can make the difference in terms of visibility for all the industry.

Realised by Training Agency COM2, with the contribution of the Emilia-Romagna region, in collaboration with Start Cinema - advanced training course Assistant to independent distribution aims to train professionals able to understand the balance and know-how that New Cinema Law by MiBAC made available to independent producer in relation to national and international distribution of cinematographic and audiovisual product.

Added value of the course will be a formative participation to Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest, the historic appointment with the dark side of movies that this year will celebrate its XVII edition from October 30 to November 3 2019. Trainees will have the chance of meeting national and international distributors of the films presented at the Festival, not only in relation to Ravenna Nightmare but also within Fantastic Visions, the film festival dedicated to schools of all types and levels that will take place in the week preceeding XVII Nightmare at the same location (Palazzo del Cinema).
