The cinema captures all the senses at the Opening Night 2018: Festival Tastings
This event, successfully inaugurated two years ago on the occasion of the celebration of the thirty-year anniversary of Blue Velvet by Master David Lynch's, who last year honored us with his presence, and confirmed in 2017 with the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Nirvana in the presence of a large part of the 35 mm version artistic cast, is also reconfirmed in this XVI edition.
Opening Night 2018, created in collaboration with our main partners Locanda La Vigna, Osteria Piattoforte and TecnoHelp, provides a grand opening in the main location of the Festival, the Palazzo del Cinema e dei Congressi, set up for the occasion to host an event in which cinema is not only breathed, but tasted, listened, and lived. Festival tastings are all this and much more: on October 26th 2018 starting at 8 pm the doors of the Palace will open to welcome guests, guests and audience in an evening celebrating the dark side of the cinema, including gourmet delicacies inspired by the films in competition and live concerts.
This event will be introduced by the journalist Maurizio Principato who will present the new edition of the Ravenna Film Festival. Festival Tastings will be a way to foretaste the rich calendar of events that will make Ravenna an important reference point for cinema lovers for ten days. From the premieres of the International Feature Film Competition to the prestigious titles of Contemporanea, to the unpublished retrospectives of Ottobre Giapponese: in the frame of the Palazzo del Cinema, the beating heart of the Festival, it will be possible to taste this and much more, all in an atmosphere where the cinema with taste comes to hearing, passing through the heart.
