Christian tries in every way to bring his younger brother Giulio to school. An easy thing for most, but not for them, who don't know their father and whose mother is an alcoholic. In addition to this, Christian is a bricklayer and has to start work at the same time his brother has to start school.
Originally from Ravenna in Italy, Valentina Casadei graduated in cinema history from Dams in Bologna. She then moved to Paris to take an English-speaking Master in screenplay and directing at Eicar. In 2016 and 2017, she wrote and directed two short films, "All About Emily" and "Blessed Days", selected in numerous international film festivals and distributed by Artex Film. Her first professional short film, "End of September" (2020), is produced by First Child Srl with the support of the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission and is distributed by Tiny Distribution. She is a programmer and member of the jury for several short film festivals. She has also published three collections of poems with three Italian publishing houses. She is currently developing three short films as well as her first feature film, within the Screenwriting Atelier 2021 at Fémis in Paris.
