BIOGRAPHY:
Marco Baroni, director and editor, is born in Rome in 1981. After highschool, he discovers a passion for directing and editing firstly in a playful manner, creating parody videos. His first short film, Intervista con il mostro (2006), was shot with a little help from his friends for a short film competition dedicated the film Frankenstein Junior. Unexpectedly his film was selected, screened at the Casa del Cinema in Rome and distributed by 20th Century Fox H.E. as a bonus content in his new home video release of Mel Brooks’ film. The passion in him grows and in 2007, while he is working in a multiplex, he decides to attend a course in film production.
In 2008 he attends a filmmaking school and in the following years, other than working as a freelancer for different companies as operator and editor, he directs two documentaries and different music videos, among those Milk White & Pierluigi Ferrantini - Kiss ‘N’ Kill (2012). In 2020 he feels the need to create again and he decides to film Cuore di strega, that has been selected and awarded in many different national and international festivals. His style cannot be categorized in one specific genre and so are his influences.
