Mimì is an orphan teenager. Born with deformed feet, he works in a pizzeria in Naples. One bad day he meets Carmilla, a young girl who believes she is a direct descendant of Count Dracula. Together they decide to escape a cynical and violent world.
Born and raised in Rome, grandson of director and actor Vittorio De Sica, after a brief experience as an actor, he decided to devote himself completely to directing. He studied and graduated at USC - University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts. Later, back in Italy, he was assistant director to Pupi Avati (Una sconfinata giovinezza) and worked as sound designer on Matteo Garrone's Pinocchio. After a long experience directing commercials and shorts (including L'errore, winner of the Nastro d'argento and candidate for the David di Donatello, Non senza di me, nominated for the Globo d'oro, and Aria, awarded at the Fantafestival and Giffoni), this year he directed his first feature film, Mimì - Il Principe delle Tenebre, selected at the Locarno Film Festival.
