Javier Chavanel is a Spanish screenwriter, writer and director. His previous short film, 2019's Smiles, was selected in 171 festivals where it won 37 different awards including the Silver Méliès at the Abertoir Horror Festival. He has published two horror novels including Apps on which the short film Nap is based. He has also worked as a director on several TV series and is currently a screenwriter on an animation series.
