Barbie, the very recent film by American director Greta Gerwig, has had an extraordinary impact on an intergenerational level. The teachers Emanuela Serri and Rossella Giovannini, creators and veterans of the Cinema and Philosophy format, propose a meeting, with an interpretative slant, to probe and investigate themes and styles of representation that characterize this little classifiable film. During the meeting, sequences of the film itself will be screened and commented on.
Free meeting, for audiences aged 14 and over.
A cathartic pink dresscode will be highly recommended and warmly welcomed.
Rossella Giovannini and Emanuela Serri
They are teachers of History and Philosophy at the “Alfredo Oriani” Scientific High School in Ravenna. Their training ranges from intercultural practices to meditation, with particular attention to creative expression. Thanks to the long-standing collaboration with the Nightmare Film Fest and then with the Visioni Fantastiche festival, they created the Cinema and Philosophy teaching format, conceived as an exercise in philosophical practice through the cinematographic medium.
