BEST DIRECTOR
A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT - USA - di Ana Lily Amirpour
"A work that is pure fascination for the eye, that enhances not only the eyes but also the hearts of the audience. A film that uses the black and white pop aesthetic, having its roots in the 80s. A declaration of love to cinema as a whole, beyond definitions and genres. A film full of references, from Sergio Leone westerns, through James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause, to Godard and Carax, with Herzog suggestions and following Bigelow's modern vampirism. " |

SPECIAL JURY PRIZE
SUMMER OF BLOOD - USA - di Onur Tukel
"Funny, quirky and talkative, how a true independent film in New York should be. A bold reinterpretation of the issues related to the world of vampires, narrative solutions with effective and always spot on. A special praise to the protagonist that offers views and insights on the unpredictable and unprecedented existential condition of the Vampire "

BLOOD MOON - United Kingdom - by Jeremy Wooding
|
|
BEST SHORT FILM
SOLITUDO -United Kingdom - di Alice Lowe
"A dark tale about loneliness and darkness that envelop the mind of the human being, in this case a nun. A work that puts in the center of the scene a state of mind - the temptation - and the evil that becomes flesh and dances through the mists of Jean Rollin and long shots of Tarkovsky, perhaps only in the mind of the protagonist. "Riget" means "the kingdom"
The Kingdom is an eight-episode Danish television mini-series, created by Lars von Trier in 1994
The Kingdom is an eight-episode Danish television mini-series, created by Lars von Trier in 1994, and co-directed by Lars von Trier and Morten Arnfred. It has been also edited together into a four-hour film. The series is set in the neurosurgical ward of Copenhagen's Rigshospitalet, nicknamed "Riget". "Riget" means "the kingdom" and leads one to think of "dødsriget", the realm of the dead. The show follows a number of characters, both staff and patients, as they encounter bizarre phenomena, both human and supernatural. The first quartet of episodes ended with numerous questions unanswered, and in 1997, the cast reassembled to produce another chapter,The Kingdom II. This second series ended with even more questions unanswered than the first. Unfortunately the death of the actors Ernst-Hugo Järegård, Kirsten Rolffes and Morten Rotne Leffers the likelihood of a third series is now very remote. |

OvO
OvO will go through the film following an experimental flow between rock and Electronic music.
After Nosferatu (Nightmare 2012), OvO band performs another sonorization of a Classic of Horror cinema, the very "paradigm" of all monsters: the Frankenstein. Monster is often just a sinonym of "diversity": and the brutal tale of this being, capriciously created by man and suddenly rejected because of its ugliness and diversity, is a perfect example. Like James Whale's life (the director of the 1931 version) who was one of the first omosexual who did his coming out in Hollywood. OvO will go through the film following an experimental flow between rock and Electronic music. |
