RING NECK

Ring Neck is the story of David, a recording engineer who gets an ash-laced tattoo of his recently deceased ring-necked dove.

Nina, a young musician involved with David, tries to help him overcome his grief, but the tattoo soon gets infected, and David’s condition quickly gets worse.

Vasili Manikas graduated from the University of Toronto 2018 with degrees in Cognitive Science, Psychology and Philosophy and then joined the Canadian film industry working as a Production Assistant and Assistant Director.

He first began making films as a teenager with the help of his Greek community theatre group. His first film Thymos (2013) won the Audience Choice Award and Social Media Award at the 2013 Greek Film & Foto Week. His most recent film Antica (2017) won Best Director at 13horror.com's Film and Screenplay Contest 2017.
