I KNOW CATHERINE, THE LOG LADY
Synopsis The life and legacy of Catherine E. Coulson, the unforgettable actress who played the "Log Lady" in the cult series Twin Peaks, is reconstructed through interviews, testimonies from friends and colleagues, archival materials, and previously unseen footage. The film traces her career, her deep friendship with David Lynch, and the personal and artistic journey that led her to transform a seemingly enigmatic character into a cult icon. The documentary also follows Coulson's final years, when, despite her illness, she wanted to return to the character as an act of devotion to her work and the fans of the series. Director biography Richard Green began his acting career in films and television series in the 1980s and 1990s, including Joe Dante's The Grass Is Green and David Lynch's Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, where he played Dr. Lawrence Jacoby in the theatrical sequence. At the same time, he cultivated his passion for music and collaborated on independent projects before moving permanently behind the camera. As a director and producer, he has created works that blend documentary, archival footage, and personal narrative, including the musical film The Green Room. With I Know Catherine, the Log Lady, he signs the authorized portrait of Catherine E. Coulson, his longtime friend, crafting a work that combines intimate testimonies, rare images, and a deeply emotional approach.
