Victor Català (Barcelona, 1989) studied cinema at ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya) where he graduated in 2013 as director of photography.
He develops his feature film project “Sympathy For Killers” in MEDIA's Four Corners workshop (Metropolia-Helsinki, Regency's-London, NATFA-Sofia). His teaser is screened two years at Sitges Film Festival (2014 and 2015). With the “Sympathy For Killers” teaser he also wins the public prize in the Cinema and Series Show 2015, and he’s screened at the Premis Projecta 2015 by the film platform Filmarket Hub.
As Director of Photography he wins several awards with the short films "Sagnant" by Tati Dunyó (Escac Films) and "L'Encenedor Quàntic" by Pau Escribano (Minoria Absoluta). In 2016 he joined the agency of cinematographers Plan B.
As director he makes the short film "Matapasiones" for the Notodofilmfest Festival, wich became finalist. During the years he has directed several spots, videos and music-videos (including the Blaze Out's "Wrath Afire", with more than 2 million views).
In 2019 he directs the horror short film "A Little Taste" in co-production with Robotik Studio & Fosca Films.
