Malin Barr is a writer, director and actor from Sweden. She divides her time between Los Angeles and Stockholm, where she is currently studying screenwriting at Alma Löv Script Academy. Malin tells complex female-centric stories, in which she explores the themes of identity, alienation, perfectionism and social norms. She shot the award-winning comedy short film Hedda Needs Help (2017) and the social thriller Evergreen (2022). She is currently developing numerous projects including the drama-comedy TV series Adult Children, the coming-of-age dance drama feature See Me and the female-driven western Yellow Metals.
