Maria, a young Mexican girl, is separated from her mother while on the run from border patrol agents. While lost in the woods, she comes across a strange glowing orb and finds herself pursued by something sinister.
Ray lives in Vancouver, Canada but grew up in rural Uttar Pradesh, India. He was surrounded by the right ingredients for great storytelling: Parents Fighting Gangsters, Class and Caste wars, Religious and Regional differences. He chose movies and books over conflict: Bollywood, Hollywood and everything available in between. After studying in Delhi University and Vancouver Film School, he shot his first short film Maya Getting Born, then his debut feature Violentia screened at various genre festivals and wad distributed in 2019. After AlieNation, which is touring festivals, Ray is developing a new feature film, Phoren, based on his immigrant life experiences in Canada.
