TALK _ SCREENING & MEETING TALES OF INCLUSION IN IMAGES
Lecturer: Valentina Scentoni
A selection of Disney Pixar short films that deal with inclusion as their main theme.
The shorts are divided into three thematic sets. The first two shorts deal with homophobia and discrimination based on sexual orientation. The second set focuses on negative prejudices about mental illness, while the third refers to gender differences. The shorts are designed for an audience of third- to fifth-graders, a time when their young minds can open up to constructive dialogue. Each group of short films will be followed by reflection and discussion with the children themselves. An attempt will be made to provide them with interesting ideas for work that may, at the discretion of the teachers, then continue in the classroom.
