At the foot of a cliff, between a rubbish dump, barns and a forest, there is a place where people form incestuous relationships and hold painful secrets.
The Horse Tail is a junk version of the myth of Oedipus. Diana ageing prostitute, comes back to a small town. She has memory blanks and milk streams from her breasts. Maj an orphan and outcast suspects that she is his mother. When they meet Diana treats him like a client. In the forest the policeman’s was raped and Maj is accused of it. The atmosphere gets much tenser when Maj becomes a friend with girl, daughter of policeman and a victim. Their relationship, based on their particular sensitivity and their opposition to the rotten world they live in, does not stand a chance of surviving. While they are playing in a river, a horse’s tail twines around their bodies. Maj knows that it is a bad sign.
