At 39 Via di Roma in Ravenna, between the beauty of the Mosaics of the Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo (1), a portrait of 6th-century Ravenna, with the port of Classe and the ancient palace of Theodoric, and The MAR - Ravenna City Art Museum (3) with works by world-famous artists, educational workshops and a collection of ancient and modern art;
there is the Rasi Theatre in Ravenna (2) whose origins date back to the monastic church of Santa Chiara built in 1250 and converted into a chivalry house during the Napoleonic period. The building was converted into a theatre in 1874, inaugurated in 1892 and named in 1919 after Luigi Rasi, a late 19th-century Ravenna actor, playwright and theatre historian. Of Santa Chiara remain the façade, today the entrance to the theatre, and the apse, set into the stage area. The 14th-century Rimini frescoes that occupied the vaults of the apse are on display at the city's Archaeological Museum.
