Saturday, October 19, at 9 pm, at the Palazzo dei Congressi, there will be the last preview of the 17th edition of Ravenna Nightmare with the second title from Nightmare d'Essai, the section of the Festival that aims to propose those works in which genre cinema meets auteur cinema, achieving excellence.
After Poesia senza fine, presented last year among the titles of Essai, also this year the focus on the cinema of the master Alejandro Jodorowsky continues with the projection of his latest Psicomagia - an art that cures, the most complete film on his therapeutic work. Through real testimonies he explains what psychomagia is, what its principles are and how it is practiced. It shows us some people during their healing process, from the realization of their "psychomagic act" to the demonstration of their effects. For Jodorowsky, many of our problems stem from the barriers created by our society, our family and our culture, all of which prevent us from finding our true self. Psychomagia helps people get rid of these chains. Psychomagic acts have a strong impact on the unconscious. Therefore, they are often impressive and highly cinematic. The film goes beyond fiction, filming reality, but an augmented, magical and healing reality.
