Federico Zampaglione is an Italian singer-songwriter, director and screenwriter, frontman of the band Tiromancino. In 1989 Zampaglione was one of the founders of Tiromancino, a band that released four albums until changing record labels in 2000. Zampaglione was the scriptwriter and director for the video clip of the song Un tempo piccolo, with which he won the first Cinecittà and Cinefestival di Ravello prize as ‘Best Italian Video Clip’. In 2006, he debuted in the world of cinema as a director, making his first feature film entitled Nero bifamiliare. The film was presented at the ‘Chinese Theatre’ in Los Angeles and was released in cinemas on 16 March 2007.
In May 2010, his second film, Shadow, was released in cinemas and successfully presented at horror film festivals. In 2012, he returned behind the camera with the film Tulpa - Perdizioni mortali, a thriller/horror starring Claudia Gerini. After an excursion into the world of music with the film Morrison, he made his fifth feature film in 2023, and returned to horror cinema with The Well, which had its world premiere at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival, and then in Italy at Sci-Fi Trieste and the Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest.
