Giusi Santoro was born and lives in Bologna. She graduated in Communication Sciences at the University of Bologna and specialised in digital editing. After working for years as a freelancer for production companies in Bologna, Milan and Rome, she founded POPCult in 2007.
She has edited over 60 documentaries, in addition to commercials and TV programmes. Her documentaries have won awards at some of the world's major festivals. Among the best known: Strade blu, Il bravo gatto prende i topi (David di Donatello 2006) and Megalopolis (Ilaria Alpi Award 2008).
She has also written and produced short fiction films and documentaries broadcast on national and foreign TV, both terrestrial and satellite: RAITRE, RAIDUE, FOX channels.
