Opening Night – Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest 2025
The 23rd edition of our Festival opens with a unique event, in a venue where no film festival has ever been held before, namely one of the most prestigious theaters in our region: the Dante Alighieri Theater in Ravenna. For the occasion, we will pay tribute to an immortal masterpiece: “The Phantom of the Opera” (1925), directed by Rupert Julian and starring the legendary Lon Chaney, a true icon of silent cinema.
To celebrate the film's centenary, the screening will be made even more extraordinary thanks to live music by the Orchestra del Conservatorio Statale “Giuseppe Verdi” di Ravenna: a 40-piece orchestra, with harp and solo singer, who will accompany every moment of the black-and-white film, transforming it into an unforgettable experience.
