The sixth and penultimate day of the festival opened with the screening of Snare of Evil by Jan Haluza — a film that was intense, unsettling, and beautifully crafted.
Next came the final entry in the National Competition: Il primo figlio by Mara Fondacaro, presented in person by the director. A truly moving and powerful work.
Later, we had the pleasure of welcoming Elisabetta Sarbi, who introduced her latest film L’isola degli idealisti as part of the Showcase Emilia-Romagna section. After the screening, she joined the director for a Q&A session with the audience.
At 6:00 PM, Ravenna-based artist and activist Gianluca Costantini shared his powerful illustrations, exploring themes of conflict and human rights.
Following that, the renowned European Short Film Competition – Méliès d’Argent Award took place. The theater was packed for a selection of stunning and captivating short films.
Immediately after, the awards ceremony was held. All prizes were announced, and several winning directors were present, including Simon Rumley, who took home both feature film awards.
To close the evening, we screened A Different Man by Aaron Schimberg — a film that was poignant and profound.
