Contemporary is the non-competitive section of the festival, reserved for the best titles that emerged in major gender festivals. Among the premieres scheduled for this edition, we find a US international title: The Arcadian, a story of revenge and redemption set in a strange future world. Starring Lance Henriksen, Aliens’ Bishop. Directed by Independent director Dekker Dreyer, considered a pioneer and wizard in live action techniques and Animated Virtual Reality, creator of the original television series, entirely in VR, The Depths (2016); and a Belgian title, "a piece of delusional and poetic European romance," as defined by the international press, Angel, by Harry Cleven, produced by Jaco van Dormael and winner of the Best Fantasy Film Award at Neuchâtel Festival, with Romanian actress Elina Löwensohn.
