Premiere Festival is an initiative that promotes gender-based cinema. Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest anticipates the festival by offering the city a new initiative, the Premiere Festival, which features first-ever cinematic, author's, visions of the film in its original language. The initiative is made possible by collaborating with Publimedia and Cinema City, where some of the films featuring Nightmare features will be screened.
Opening Night is the inauguration evening, the opening event of the Festival. This year's occasion is the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's Oscar Gabriele Salvatores Award. An exclusive evening to offer the most loyal audience a special occasion to present our guests, announce special projects, thank our partners and celebrate the opening of the new edition.
The participating films of the International feature films Competition, will be screened for the first time in Italy and they are the finest examples of their respective genres, and they are on their journey to contribute to the stylistic and thematic renewal of cinema.

In collaboration with the A.S.C.I.G. – Association for Cultural Exchanges between Italy and Japan, treated by Marco Del Bene and Gabriele Scardovi, was born estAsia, the new section of the festival dedicated to Japanese and Asian cinema.
